Weddings and Private Celebrations
The 'Invisible' Production Team.
Your wedding isn't a tech demo; it's a celebration of love. Our goal is to be invisible. We hide the speakers behind floral arrangements, tape down every cable with color-matched gaff tape, and ensure the only thing your guests notice is how beautiful the room looks and how clearly they can hear your vows.
From the moment the processional music begins to the last song of the night, we're there — quietly managing every audio cue, every lighting transition, every video playback. You'll never see us scrambling. You'll never hear feedback. You'll just experience a flawlessly executed celebration.
Planning Your Perfect Day: It Starts with a Conversation
Every wedding is different. Some couples want a simple ceremony mic and a dance floor. Others want uplighting, video projection for toasts, and a live band with full sound reinforcement. We start by listening to your vision, understanding your venue, and designing a custom solution that fits your style and budget.
We visit the venue in advance, take measurements, and coordinate with your planner, photographer, and videographer. We create a detailed timeline so everyone knows when the first dance happens, when the toasts begin, and when the cake gets cut. This level of planning ensures nothing is left to chance.
"We know what can go wrong at weddings — because Doug has run hundreds of them in his career — and we plan for all of it. That's why our couples can relax and enjoy their day."
Execution: Trust Us to Handle the Details
On your wedding day, we arrive hours before your guests. We're setting up speakers, running cables, testing microphones, and programming lighting cues. When you walk down the aisle, we're ready. When your best man stands to give a toast, the microphone is already in his hand, volume set perfectly.
We work in close coordination with your DJ or band, ensuring their equipment integrates cleanly with ours. We coordinate with your videographer to provide clean audio feeds. We communicate with your planner via headset so transitions happen on cue. And when the night is over, we pack up quietly while your guests are still dancing.
The Equinox Difference: Hospitality First
We're not just AV technicians; we're part of your hospitality team. That means we dress professionally, we're friendly to your guests, and we treat your venue with respect. We arrive on time, we stay until the job is done, and we leave the space cleaner than we found it.
We understand that weddings are emotional, high-stakes events. That's why we bring backup equipment for everything critical. That's why we do sound checks with your musicians. That's why we walk through the timeline with your planner. Because when you trust us with your wedding, we take that responsibility seriously.
Here's what we've learned matters: clear vows, clean transitions, and a dance floor that stays packed all night. That's what we deliver. Every single time.
How Pricing Works.
We don't publish starting-at prices. Here's why.
A wedding for 60 in a backyard isn't the same job as a wedding for 200 in a historic barn. A ceremony with a string trio isn't the same as one with a band and a dance floor that runs until 11. Pricing a job honestly means looking at your venue, your guest count, your program, and what actually has to happen for your night to go the way you've pictured it.
What we will promise: the proposal we send you is itemized, transparent, and complete. Equipment, crew, hours, travel — every line. No hidden fees, no day-of surprises. If there's a way to do your wedding for less without compromising the moments that matter most to you, we'll name it. If doing it right costs more than you hoped, we'll tell you that too, before you've committed to anything.
The discovery call takes about 30 minutes. By the end of it, you'll have a clear sense of whether we're the right fit — and a ballpark range to work with long before any paperwork shows up.
