Dreamscapes. The auction on three screens.
The museum called the night Dreamscapes. December 14, 2024, six to nine, in the Ada and Paul Paresky Court. Pangaea of North Bennington did bites and nibbles. The Weston Playhouse collaborated on the decor. Midnight Choir played. The galleries stayed open. Ethan Merrill ran the live auction, and a silent auction of regional goods and getaways sat on the side tables. The room was set for 150 to 200. The museum counts it among its most successful holiday fundraisers, toward coming exhibits and the capital work ahead.
Three 75-inch monitors on rolling stands ringed the dining floor. A switcher took a main laptop and a backup — the Dreamscapes title, sponsor slides, the art, the Givergy lots, and the running pledge total — and an SDI split put the same picture on every screen. Ten wireless uplights washed the court. Two more lit the entrance.
We ran playback through the program and the live auction, working with the museum’s existing sound and the other partners in the room, then struck after nine.
